WHAT IS AN “ORTHOPEDIC MATTRESS” ?

A mattress that can prevent or correct deformities in the skeleton.

The sleep DNA indicates that mattresses must be chosen based on the need of each of us, a soul (interior of mattress) less firm for thin persons, firm for those of standard weight, very firm for overweight persons.

The mattress must not be in any case soft, because a good mattress must not give the impression of sleeping in a bucket, the elbow must not dip inside it as butter, it must face a certain resistance, when sleeping on the side we must have a feeling of comfort around the shoulders and the pelvis. It must match your body mass index(BMI). A mattress that is too hard can also create a hyper-curvature of the vertebral column and, thus, back aches.

Choose, if possible, a thermoregulatory material which will prevent you from sweating when it is hot.

To guarantee a good quality sleep, the orthopedic mattress must have certain basic requirements:

Maintain the vertebral column’s alignment or keep the natural curvature of the back, and thanks to its firm support, it does it better than a conventional mattress.
Share the weight uniformly, eliminate high pressure areas and, thus, promote blood flow
Regulate the body temperature.
